At Cozy Corner, each infant and toddler receives individualized care and attention throughout the day. Little ones are held, rocked, talked to, sung to, read to, and taken on walks both inside and outside the center. I believe in turning everyday routines—like eating and diapering—into rich learning experiences, using these moments to support language development and cognitive growth.
When infants are awake, we ensure they’re moved regularly throughout the room to provide a change of scenery and promote a range of physical activities. Children who are beginning to creep or crawl are encouraged to explore freely in a safe, clean, and open environment. Cozy Corner provides a variety of age-appropriate toys and materials that inspire curiosity and learning, and I begin introducing sign language early to help support early communication.
And to make life even easier for families, Cozy Corner offers an optional Product Program—so you don’t have to worry about remembering or replenishing everyday supplies!
I take great pride in providing each child with a rich, personalized educational experience. Our lesson plans are thoughtfully designed around monthly and weekly themes and are tailored to each child’s age, developmental level, and learning style. Activities are created to help children build self-esteem, strengthen their language and literacy skills, develop fine and gross motor abilities, explore new concepts, spark creativity, and gain an appreciation for diverse cultures.
In addition to structured learning, children are given plenty of free choice time, where they can select their own activities and explore their interests. I believe that play is one of the most powerful tools for learning, so I make sure children have ample time, space, and age-appropriate materials to actively engage with the world around them.
Throughout the day, children will interact with a variety of materials—from math and science tools to imaginative play equipment like manipulative toys and housekeeping sets. They’ll enjoy group time, arts and crafts, and even hands-on activities such as educational worksheets designed to reinforce early learning concepts.
Thanks to our intentionally small group size, children at Cozy Corner thrive academically while also developing important life skills, forming meaningful friendships, and receiving an abundance of love and support along the way.
During the school year, children who attend in the morning will follow Cozy Corner’s morning schedule, including breakfast if desired. Afternoon arrivals will be welcomed with a nutritious snack and can then choose to participate in regular daily activities or focus on homework—based on parental preference.
On school breaks and throughout the summer, older children join the preschool group in following the center’s full daily schedule, with the exception of naptime. Instead of rest, they’ll engage in quiet activities, games, creative projects, or enjoy an extra outdoor play session. All materials, toys, and activities are thoughtfully selected to match each child’s age and ability level.
Our exciting summer curriculum strikes the perfect balance—each day is full enough to keep children engaged and learning, yet relaxed enough to foster creativity and free play. At Cozy Corner, school-age children are not only cared for—they’re inspired, supported, and given the space to thrive.
