Cozy Corner's Mission 

Cozy Corner’s goal is to encourage physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth within each child while providing a loving, structured, safe and secure atmosphere. While building independence, creativity and self esteem within each child and providing a positive, comfortable home environment, children gain a wonderful education, lifelong friendships and everlasting memories.

How is Cozy Corner different you may wonder? A fantastic reason to choose Cozy Corner is due to the small group size. Though the provider can have up to eight children each day, she wants the children to have more one on one interaction, a warm, personal experience and a more focussed education. For the benefit of the children, she keeps the number of children at six whenever possible. With a smaller number of children, there is also less exposure to illness, more sibling interaction and a mixed age group, so younger children can learn proper behaviors and skills from the older children, and older children can learn care and compassion from the younger children.

Another reason to choose Cozy Corner is because the center is violation free through the Department of Children and Families. This means that when the State of Wisconsin licensor visited unexpectedly, they found that the facility, provider and care given to children was within compliance. My recent licensor rated Cozy Corner as 5 stars!

At Cozy Corner, your child also benefits by having one dependable provider care for them throughout all of their early years rather than having many differet providers who come and go. Children feel comfort and security in knowing they can depend and love someone who will never leave them. Quite often, relationships between the provider and her students are life long.

Cozy Corner's Provider

Jaymie began working in the childcare field in 1995 as an assistant teacher at a group center. She quickly moved up in the field, becoming a lead teacher, assistant director, and finally a center director. Throughout her career she's worked with every age group at a few different centers, giving her experience with children with special medical conditions and disabilities a well as children with different ethnic and religious backgrounds. She, however, craved something more personal and rewarding so she began caring for chldren in her home and became licensed in 2013, thus the beginning of Cozy Corner!

It's important to Jaymie that parents feel at ease knowing their child is well taken care while at Cozy Corner. She is a natual nurturer, and offers a fun, challenging curriculum in a cozy atmosphere. She encourages open communication with parents, supports social, positive development between students, offers healthy meals and snacks, and strengthens individual confidence within each child. She keeps current on certifications and stritcly follows state regulations.  Jaymie's job is her passion. She devotes herself to making a positive difference in each child's life.

Jaymie's personal life includes a cherished family and four dogs (who are primarily kept away from students). A past marriage brought Jaymie three beautiful daughters. Her now husband, Matt, brought her a wonderful son in 2019. When she's not loving up on her family and everyone else's children, she's training with her dogs, gathering with extended family, grabbing dinner with friends, working on house projects or planning her next trip up north. She lives a simple life, and appreciates everything she's been given.

As a parent of children young and old, she understands how tough it can be choosing care and trusting someone with your child. Rest assured, your child will be loved as her own and your family will become an extention of her own. Cozy Corner will truly become your child's home away from home.
